Optimization of Chloride (Cl<sup>−</sup>) on Dimethylamine (DMA) Modified Mesoporous Silica

Abstract Mesoporous silica was prepared using sodium silicate as a precursor and Cetyl Trimethylammonium Bromide (CTAB) templating agent. The adsorption ability of enhanced by DMA (dimethylamine) modifier glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTMS) linking compound. process carried out incorporating the chloride solution into DMA-modified mesoporous silica, followed desorption flowing acid solution. agent’s type concentration determine process’s effectiveness. In this study, 0.0744 mg ions were completely desorbed 0.08 M HNO 3 .
